Job description
This position is in Global Equity Administration which is in the Legal Department of HP. Global Equity is responsible for the administration of HP’s global equity programs.
The Equity Programs Specialist is responsible for processes related to the administration of Hewlett-Packard’s (HP) global equity programs. Programs may include stock options, restricted stock awards, or employee stock purchase plans. It is expected that the candidate will use developed subject matter knowledge and independent judgment to resolve common and complex business issues within established company policies and plan governances, recommend appropriate alternatives, and participate in diverse projects for HP’s global equity programs.
The primary responsibilities include subject matter expert for equity program questions, specializing in supporting employee interface groups, regional contacts, or vendor escalations, vendor management, interfacing with internal and external partners, and working on projects generally related to data or program administration of diverse complexity and scope. Acts as a functional lead for resolving issues within own area of expertise.
May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation. Assists in bringing projects to a successful close and provides project status updates to management as defined. Will assist the management in other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, managing special handling processes, data research and analysis, and running/creating reports.
Qualifications
Successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Effective prioritization skills to balance daily duties, deadlines, and special project requests
• Understands the importance of confidentiality

• Ability to recommend alternative solutions for meeting short-term and/or long-term goals
• Direct experience monitoring stock plan requirements, identifying compliance issues and proposing and implementing solutions.
• Ability to work during different time zones.
• Familiarity with the Internal Revenue Code and international taxation as related to the administration of stock plans a plus.
• Experience with automated stock administrative processes and/or payroll processes a plus.
• Works well under pressure.
• Solid PC skills including knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong numerical and data analysis
Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required and 4+ years of stock administration experience, defined benefit or defined contribution administration, payroll administration, human resources or some combination thereof in an international public company, preferably a technology company (or Master’s degree and 2+ years experience)
•Certified Equity Professional (CEP) a plus
•Proficiency with MS Office, databases, file imports/exports, report design and creation, and data manipulation/formatting
•Advanced Ad Hoc reporting Skills (Business Objects, Crystal, MS Access) a plus
