The Global Equity Organization (GEO) is an international, not-for profit membership organization, established in 1999 to support corporate executives and stock plan professionals who deal with the challenges of creating and managing global equity-based compensation plans and programs.
We have nearly 3000 individual members representing over 1500 companies and professional firms in over 70 countries.
Members include:
- HR practitioners and consultants
- Stock plan designers and administrators
- Client/account managers
- Lawyers/attorneys
- Brokers
- Accountants
- Trustees
- Individuals from academic institutions/government agencies
Membership is open to companies, organizations and individuals.
Currently, membership is complimentary for all corporate issuers.
We ask that all individuals, on application, agree to GEO’s guiding principles and our Terms & Conditions for using the GEO website site.
Our membership year is from 1 July to 30 June.
MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
Corporate Issuers:
All companies that provide equity-based plans and programs as part of employee compensation.
GEO membership is complimentary for all corporate issuers.

Provider/Advisors:
Firms that provide services to companies providing employee equity compensation plans. Membership is according to size and geographic reach. Once corporate membership is confirmed, all employees working or interested in global equity compensation are entitled to become individual members, free of additional charge.

Academics/Government Agencies:
Individuals who are affiliated with any non-profit educational or research institution, national or international government agency/regulatory body. Membership is US$100/person per year.
